The lake has a maximum depth of over 30 feet and sits in an idyllic wooded area measuring approximately 400 acres. Just north of the lake, you will find extensive wetlands and heavily forested recreational areas. The outlet of the lake is damned and it drains into nearby Cottage Lake and Bear Creek.
Living at Crystal Lake
A gated residential community dots the perimeter of the lake with a variety of home sites. These homes range from ranch-style cottages to much larger family homes. With homes in a variety of budgets, it is easy to find the perfect house for your personal needs and pocketbook. While many residents have their own private lakefront and dock, there is also a swimming beach. This beach is for use by residents and their guests and is not open to the public. Many homes that are not directly on the lake still boast sweeping views of the water.
An active community group is responsible for making decisions about the lake as well as planning a variety of special events held throughout the year. Residents of Crystal Lake enjoy monthly concerts in the summer, held at the community’s beer shed. A rustic lakeside lodge is also available to rent to residents looking to host a party or other get-together. The lodge is also a popular spot for high school dance pictures, graduation celebrations, and more. Every year, the community hosts a Halloween bash at the community lodge. The 4th of July is also an especially festive time at the lake, with residents streaming to the waterfront to host barbeques and elaborate displays of fireworks.
The Crystal Lake community is served by the award-winning Northshore School District. Children in kindergarten through 5th grade attend Wellington Elementary. Students in 6th through 8th grade feed into Leota Middle School while students in 9th through 12th grade go to Woodinville High School. Bus transportation is provided to all three schools in the feeder pattern from the front gate of the community.
